Classroom Expectations
In order to create a classroom community that is inviting and comfortable for students to learn at their potential, students will be responsible for behaving in accordance with the classroom and school expectations. Our classroom expectations are:
Be Kind:
***to yourself
***to others
***to our classroom and school
We will discuss these expectations at length at the beginning of the year and students will participate in developing meaning and understanding of these rules.

Classroom Behaviour:
Students are encouraged to follow our class rules listed above. As well, students are expected and encouraged to treat others in ways they would want to be treated themselves. Bullying and mistreatment of others is not accepted and issues are dealt with as they are noticed or as they are brought to my attention. We solve problems together in the classroom, so that students can learn and practice peaceful problem solving skills and conflict resolution. If you are aware of an inappropriate situation your child is facing at school please let me know as soon as possible so I can talk with the students involved and help them to solve the problem.
Attitude and Effort - Growth Mindset
Attitude and effort are everything. I encourage the students in my class to have a positive attitude, try their best and put in as much effort as they can on each assignment. We will learn about having a Growth Mindset this year to set students up for success during all their schooling years.
